Human Sciences Hub
The Human Sciences Hub (HS Hub) is an organisation with members from across DSTO, Defence, Industry, and Academia who share in common an interest in promoting and enhancing Human Sciences for the benefit of Defence and National Security.

- The Human Sciences Hub promotes ideas and concepts in human science and related fields
The HS Hub is primarily a forum to exchange ideas and concepts in human science and related fields, and co-ordinate human science research efforts across DSTO Divisions.
The Human Sciences Hub receives modest funding from DSTO and is managed by an Executive consisting of a Leader, Deputy, Executive Officer and four Function Leaders. Functions are long term initiatives undertaken by the Hub in order to set and progress challenging, but achievable goals within the Hub’s resources towards its stated Vision and Mission.
Vision: Excellence in Defence Human Science
Mission: Supporting the integration and advancement of a Defence Human Science community committed to building and maintaining world class standards leading to the enhanced effectiveness and well being of the ADF’s personnel and systems.
Human Sciences Forum: Encourages communication across the member community for sharing Human Sciences knowledge and experience. The Hub promotes and sponsors "Communities of Practice" which are set up by members of the wider Hub community. The Hub also assists in the coordination of an annual Defence Human Sciences Symposium.
DSTO Human Research Ethics: Manages a process for the ethical review of DSTO research protocols involving Human Participation
Human Systems Integration: Promotes the uptake of Human Sciences in support of System Design & Acquisition
Defence Engagement: Links Hub members to the contacts and information resources that arise through interactions with the Defence Human Sciences community and its international partners.
