Duties:
The overall purpose of these positions is to provide security support for staff at DSTO Melbourne.
Divisional Security Officer:
The successful applicants for the Divisional Security Officers positions will report to the Assistant Divisional Executive Officer and be expected to undertake the following major duties:
- Develop and promote security awareness, including the provision of security briefings to staff.
- Provide security advice and guidance to DSTO staff.
- Maintain the physical security requirements of facilities in Melbourne.
- Maintain and manage appropriate records produced as a result of security related activities, audits and musters.
- Develop and maintain Security Plans and associated security instructions and procedures.
- As a member of the security team, provide input to and comment on security matters for escalation to security committees.
- Ensure compliance with security policy.
Senior Security Officer:
As outlined above, with the additional responsibility of:
- Developing and maintaining site security policies and procedures
- Contribute to all aspects of security services at DSTO-Melbourne
- Will be a member of the site’s security team reporting directly to the site Principal Security Officer
