Review of the National Innovation System

Senator Kim Carr, the new Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (IISR), announced a review of the Australian innovation system in January 2008. The Review will be conducted over a six-month period by a panel of experts chaired by Dr Terry Cutler. It also incorporates a review of the Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program.
The Review Panel will hold consultation meetings with interested stakeholders across Australia in March 2008 to seek their input. A schedule for these meetings has been released. Consultation sessions will kick off on 3 March.
