The DSTO Research Library participates in the research and development of the Defence Science and Technology Organisation by building collections, establishing links to a global body of knowledge and providing clients with guidance to a wide range of information resources and offers a wide range of services including borrowing, reference, databases and full-text electronic journals. Our Australian and international collections are essential to DSTO staff in the pursuit of knowledge and information.

DSTO maintains site libraries in Canberra (ACT), Edinburgh (Adelaide, SA), Fishermans Bend (Melbourne, Vic), Scottsdale (Tas), Stirling (WA) and Sydney (NSW).  These site libraries have developed specialised research collections.

While the libraries are not open to the public, the material held may be available through the usual interlibrary loan channels.  Some of our holdings are listed on the National Library of Australia’s Libaries Australia site:
