Land Warfare Conference 2012: Potent Land Force for a Joint Maritime Strategy

The Land Warfare Conference (LWC) is a major event for users, providers, academics, designers and manufacturers to meet, present, share and exchange new and visionary ideas on Land Systems.

Academics, commercial organisations, defence research institutions, and military are encouraged to attend and/or offer papers in the field of Land Warfare and related disciplines.

The theme for this year's conference is 'Potent Land Force for a Joint Maritime Strategy'.

DSTO Maritime Defence Technology Symposium

Date: 1 February, 2012

Location: Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre

DSTO hosted the DSTO Maritime Defence Technology Symposium at Pacific 2012 on February 1, 2012.

The theme of the symposium was 'Science and Technology for Amphibious Capability'. The event has attracted speakers from industry, overseas agencies, Defence and DSTO.

Pacific 2012 International Maritime Exposition

DSTO's stand will feature a range of technologies and projects, including:

computational fluid dynamics in submarine modelling

Defence Human Sciences Symposium

Date: 16 November, 2011 to 17 November, 2011

The Defence Human Sciences Symposium (DHSS) is the principal Australian forum for those interested in research on defence-related human sciences and the application of human sciences research to enhance defence capability. The 2011 Symposium was held in Melbourne on 16 and 17 November.

Defence and Industry Conference 2011

Date: 28 June, 2011 to 30 June, 2011

Location: Adelaide Convention Centre, South Australia

DSTO will once again have a presence at the Defence and Industry Conference and Trade Expo in Adelaide.

At this year's D&I conference, DSTO will be showcasing its Capability and Technology Demonstator (CTD) program. Through a series of presentations, past proposers will share their CTD experience - the highlights and challenges in developing and demonstrating their technologies. Experts from the Capability Development Group, the Defence Materials Technology Centre and the Rapid Prototyping Development and Evaluation Program will also share their insights.
