DSTO Alumni – Edinburgh Regional Committee
The Chief Defence Scientist appointed Professor Henry D’Assumpcao as the Executive Board Member for DSTO Alumni – Edinburgh in May 2005. Membership on the Edinburgh Regional Committee is open to other self elected members of the DSTO Alumni – Edinburgh to be determined at the annual regional meeting.
Regional Meetings
An analysis of returned questionnaires revealed members preference for regular executive board meetings, occasional social activities and a strong desire to remain abreast of issues in the Defence Scientific Community. DSTO Chief Defence Scientist, Dr Roger Lough, has announced that DSTO Alumni members will also be able to attend unclassified briefings. Once this analysis is complete, planning will commence to develop a calendar of Alumni activities for all regions that will be posted onto the website.
The launch of the DSTO Alumni - Edinburgh Association was on 18 May 2006 and members enjoyed a tour of the site and briefings from Edinburgh staff. If you are interested in becoming involved please email alumni@dsto.defence.gov.au
