Deputy Chief Defence Scientist - Corporate

Mr Peter Lambert was appointed Deputy Chief Defence Scientist (Corporate) in January 2013.

The Deputy Chief Defence Scientist (Corporate) Mr Peter Lambert is responsible for DSTO's corporate information services, corporate communications, coordination and Ministerial liaison. 

His principal responsibilities in this role are to develop and lead DSTO's information and communication technology (ICT) enterprise, protect/advance DSTO's reputation through its internal and external communications, and manage DSTO communication with the offices of the Defence ministers.

DCDS (Corporate) is accountable to the Chief Defence Scientist, and is appointed as the DSTO Chief Information Officer.

He is responsible for the leadership and management of the following organisational elements of DSTO:

Corporate Information Services

Corporate Information Services has a central role in the planning, management and support of computing services across DSTO. It also provides DSTO with quality systems that support core business activities.

Defence Science Communications

Defence Science Communications is responsible for DSTO's internal and external communications, including reputation management, media relations, science and technology publishing and web management.

Directorate of Coordination and Ministerial Liaison

The Directorate manages and coordinates high level support for the Office of the Chief Defence Scientist, the DSTO Advisory Board and DSTO's interactions with Ministerial offices.
