Battlespace communications systems

A modern communications network infrastructure is a key enabler for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

A robustly networked force improves information sharing, situational awareness, and weapons system engagement, leading to improved mission effectiveness.

LAND 2072 is a multi-phased project aimed at progressively enhancing the ADF's land-based communications capability, allowing users throughout the battlespace to exchange voice, data and video across diverse networks.

DST Group is supporting all phases of the LAND 2072 project, with activities including laboratory testing of equipment for the evaluation of network performance, modelling and simulation support, and provision of technical advice on electromagnetic interference issues and associated mitigation strategies for land vehicles.
